Phase 1 completed march 2024
Phase 2 completed july 2024
The Naperville Brighton Pond project was a joint effort between DuPage County Stormwater Management and the Naperville Park District to restore a residential stormwater pond. The project focused on dredging to remove accumulated sediment and stabilizing an eroding shoreline.
Originally limited in scope by budget constraints, the team applied value engineering to optimize construction methods. As a result, the entire pond was dredged within budget, exceeding initial expectations. The project included 7,000 cubic yards of sediment removal and 3,500 feet of shoreline stabilization.
